Dragbody-s/t 7"
Three songs on grey vinyl. I don't really listen to hard core, but I'd be the first person to say that Dragbody rocks! This is a pretty old 7", but it's so good that I can't not review it. They're tight, heavy, mid-paced craziness. The whole package--art work and music--just make me think of a psychopathic killer in a movie, from the singer's screams to when the whole band playing drops off to one guitar playing an errie minor chord arppegio. Something about the music just seems so symphonic. I can't quite put my finger on it, though... Between the chunky guitar chords, during rests, the absence of sound is like a vaccum and just pulls you into the dark world created by the music. And this is only a 7"! One of this band's greatest strengths, is the guitar riffs. Classic heavy metal style lines break up the chugging hardcore grooves.
