This three song tape is nearly 14mins long, which I don't think is a bad thing. "suffocate", "carry on" and "any other way" are thick sounding shoegazer, dreampop, but not overly-effected like alot of bands. I like that fact that the sound is very full despite the lack of obvious guitar pedal stuff. Whisper-sung vocals lay atopt the disorted, yet delicate, layered guitar work. Very relaxed music you can just space out to. Good for a rainy day or 3am listening. The drum line for "Any Other Way" is such a cool break-beat-ish kind of thing, that I'm considering sampling it and using it myself. :) This tape even has some good stereo work, which seems to be neglected by alot of unsigned bands. I recomend giving Skip Frenzy a listen. Info:www.skip-frenzy.com, matt@skip-frenzy.com, Gracie Station/PO Box 1361/New York, NY 10028-1361
